I'm going down to Cali....Cali...Cali....oh wait wrong state

Screw my Friday weekly wrap-up. There was a counter-offer made last night. So we countered back and it was accepted! My law school friend is already joking that I am going to become a Stepford wife in no time (yeah right!).

Needless to say, I am exhausted but excited. We close before the end of July so this is going to be quick!! I think that we might keep the house in MA for the month of August while we have new energy-efficient windows installed in the new place. Having both places will also help lower the stress of moving. I could pack stuff up in my car every night, head to work for the day and then drop the stuff off at our new place. Plus we have to paint.

I will now move from being a Masshole to someone from the Nutmeg state. Also known as a “Nutmegger”…..which makes my mind automatically think “Nuthugger.” In addition, CT is a state who named their health insurance program for lower-income kids the “Husky” program. And despite knowing that UCONN’s mascot is a husky, I always want to think that they are ripping on the obese kids in the program.

So yeah. Moving to CT.
