I knew my annual pretty princess day would get overshadowed by Iz's arrival so it's really fine that we aren't doing much of anything. It's tremendously cold right now in Chicago and other than a quick trip to the pediatrician for her first visit and a trip to the grocery store after buying a Christmas tree off a lot, we have stayed in the safety and warmth of the house. I also can't drive for another few days....
So yeah, I have an exciting day ahead of feeding and diapering Iz, with lots of snuggling inbetween (the snuggling is the best). CP brought me a Dunkin Donuts hot chocolate this morning, made me breakfast which included Black Forest bacon from Whole Foods (THE best bacon on the planet), and got me a small Black Forest cake for my birthday. We aren't going out for a fancy dinner, but between my awesome husband who is so far the cutest dad on the planet and my amazing daughter, my 35th year should be a great year!!
