The first week or so was a cold that I most likely gave her right before she started daycare (cue feelings of guilt). She had a bit of a cough and was a little congested but nothing too bad.
Then late last week we decided to take her in to see her doctor. Her cold wasn't getting any better and she even seemed to be getting worse and more congested (by this time CP also had a cold). She was diagnosed with bronchiolitis which her ped said may last a while- but it wasn't RSV and she wasn't contagious.
Then on Saturday morning Iz woke up with yellow discharge all over her left eye and had trouble opening it. We took her in to see a doctor again and are now armed with the same ointment we were given for Koda's eye problem last year.
The rest of Saturday Iz was pretty miserable and was a sight to see. Oozing fluid from her eye, dripping snot from her nose, and drooling up a storm. She thankfully slept upright and in our arms most of the day as other than de-snotting her with saline/the bulb sucker or turning the shower on and steaming up the bathroom, there wasn't much we could do.
She headed to daycare today and I haven't heard anything from them so hopefully she is doing okay? It's been hard for her to nurse with such a snotty nose....I can't imagine that she is taking the bottle that well either. The doctor on Saturday did note that she was doing extremely well with her breathing despite the congestion.
Saturday night and yesterday she seemed a bit better.
I knew that putting her in daycare meant that she may get sick more often but the first three weeks? I thought that giving her breastmilk was supposed to help?

That sucks about the crap going around, but man is she a cutie pie!
It must be so hard to see your baby sick. I hope she gets better very soon!
She is so cute!! Sorry about the cold.
Dude. Matt, Samson and I have been sick for about six weeks. I will forever refer to this period as the Black Death. It has been brutal. Also, Samson got sick right away when he entered daycare, too. It sucks!
Ugh. It sucks to see them sick. M has been sick for all but two weeks of his short life. He isn't in daycare but his sister is and she shares all the good germs with the whole family. It sucks. I just hope that it means when he does go to daycare in a couple years he won't get sick quite so much. We'll see... I hope Izzy feels better soon.
It's building her immune system! OMG she is so adorable!
My kiddo was in daycare from 12w to 8mo. In that time, there were zero days we were all healthy, even with breastfeeding through 4.5mo. RSV, H1N1, colds, flu, you name it. It was brutal. With a nanny, he has only been sick once in almost a year. The plus side of infant sickness is that they will be much better off when they start school. I cannot get over how cute Izzy is!
She is so cute! I hope she feels better soon!
I'm sorry she has been sick all these weeks - hope it gets better soon!
But on the upside, she's still too cute :)
She is so stinkin adorable. That smile!! I love all her hair. Sorry she has been dealing with sickness..maybe it will build up her immunity for potential future bugs?
What a cutie!!! I promise the sickies pass :(
It's never fun when we are sick, let alone when you have to watch and take care of your baby being sick. Poor girl! Hope she's feeling better by now! She is sooooo adorable!
