How is it almost July?!? Work has been insane this week so I have had literally no time to blog. So I have snippets for you....
Luteinizing Hormone: 2.04
Follicle Stimulating Hormone: 3.18
Progesterone: 0.470
Estrogen (should be less than 50 at baseline): 142
Progesterone: 0.470
Estrogen (should be less than 50 at baseline): 142
Ultrasound: Lining 9.2mm, 4 antral follicles – Right ovary 5.7mm, Left ovary 26.8mm clear cyst – which could be left over from last cycle.
The doctor wants me to come back in on Monday to recheck my hormone levels and get another ultrasound. My lining is still pretty thick and then my stupid estrogen. *sigh*
*This week has not been a good week of eating. Tonight I ate Chinese food for dinner after ordering pizza earlier this week. At this rate I will be 250 lbs by next month. Thank goodness the rest of the week I have been eating salads and black bean soup.
*Tonight I read the book "I Love You Forever" to Izzy. I usually cry a little bit after reading it but the extra hormones running through my body had me bawling after reading the story. Izzy was very concerned with me crying as she hasn't really seen me cry. Poor girl was so confused.
*Then after we brushed teeth and sang songs, I put her in her crib. I told her that I loved her and that I would see her tomorrow. I could have sworn that she said "I love you mama" as I was leaving her room. Amazing.
*The fun thing about a husband that travels for work (CP is currently in China until Saturday afternoon) is that he brings back fancy pajamas for Izzy. She can finally fit into the ones that he bought for her a few months ago.
*Tonight after I got home from work I got a call from a concrete contractor about our cracked garage floor. I explained that the floor was not level and that we had some large cracks. I'm not sure what else he wanted me to explain but he then said "can your husband give me any more information?" First off, I didn't even tell him that I had a husband. And even if I do what makes him think that CP could explain it any better? He made a couple other sexist remarks before asking if I could send him pictures. I hope that we are able to find another company to work with as I'm not sure that I could deal with this guy.
What's going on with you guys?

Totally annoying! I went to the VW dealership to get a copy of our key, and even through I placed the order and paid for the service, and gave them my number to call when it was ready, but for some reason, they called my husband was it was ready. Hello!
LOL on the concrete guy. Men just want to talk to men, even if they don't explain it better. Truthfully when I worked as a nurse and had a male patient, I was always more interested in their wife's description of the symptoms LOL. Men would say, "My chest hurts". The wife would pipe in with, "it started 46 minutes ago, he got sweaty, short of breath, and said it felt tight in his chest".
I would always trust a woman more than a man, we provide details!
I hope your repeat u/s and bloodwork show the dr what they want.
Brutal response from the concrete guy!!! :O I would NEVER deal with him especially since my dad and I taught my husband everything handy man he knows!
Argh! To your estrogen levels but beauty FSH! Probably a little cyst or early dominant, maybe..?
So in love with the pj's! Too adorable! :D
Ugh, I hate that! We had an exterminator come in at our old house, and I don't remember exactly what all he said but he was just constantly making "cutesy" little sexist comments. He would really only talk to my husband, even though it technically wasn't even his house because I bought it before we were together so it was in my name alone.
Oh, and here's a good one. My husband and I work together, right? But his name is Chris, and we have, like, 5 guys named Chris. So anyway, long before we were together, and this was even back when he was still married to his first wife. He'd taken his wife's car in to the mechanic, so the mechanic called him at work to tell him it was ready. I answered the phone, and the mechanic just said, "Hi, may I speak with Chris?" I asked, "Which Chris?" and the guy answered impatiently, "Um, your husband." I just replied, "This is a place of business, we have three different Chrises, and I don't have a husband. So which one is it?" What got me after I thought about it was he was assuming I was the wife--you know, the one who owns the car?!?--and he still only wanted to talk to the husband. Jesus, take the wheel...
Marianne, I get you! There was a funny story in my family when my parents went to Disneyland for their anniversary dinner when I was a teenager (we're from SoCal). When they got back, my mom told me there had been a prom nearby because a bunch of obviously prom couples were there having dinner. She and I love fancy dresses, and she told me about one really beautiful one, which she described in detail. She talked about the color, the style, the fit, some of the beautiful little details that made it special, and how great it looked on the girl wearing it. My dad listened to all this agape and at the end, he said, "I was just going to say it was a beautiful yellow dress."
Annika says "I love you Mommy" and it's the best! I'm sure that is what Izzy said. Awesome!
Uggghhhh dealing with men like that drives me nuts. My husband (then boyfriend) - who had never attempted home repairs or DIY of any sort - and I went to Home Depot once to pick up some supplies for a fix-up project I was attempting. I had some questions for the guy about how best to patch some drywall. I would ask a question like "does it matter what size drywall knife I use to apply the spackle?" and the guy would turn to Chris and say "that depends, do you have different sized spackle knives?" Chris would shrug and say "I don't actually have tools," so I would answer, "*I* have 2 sizes. And the spackle. But I don't know about X"... and the guy would again turn to Chris to reply or ask the next question. INFURIATING.
I find the stats you post FASCINATING even though I understand so little about them. I am learning a lot through google. :)
Ugh, cement guy. I'm sorry about your estrogen being high for baseline, I hope that things even out for this cycle. I can't read "I Love You Forever" without bawling on a good, non-medicated day, so I think your response was totally normal, if confusing for poor Izzy! I love those little yellow pajamas, so cute! Best of luck on this cycle.
I had a FB friend recently spend about a week posting all the sexist things her contractor would say each day. Finally she fired him. It's ridiculous we still have to deal with that.
