Microblog Mondays

Today I feel like I am walking around with a delicious secret that no one knows about except me, CP, and my parents (and soon, my RE). It's a great feeling and I hope that my positive thoughts continue as the first trimester can be so tough. My first hurdle of course? The results of my beta test this morning, which I should get sometime this afternoon. I'm crossing my fingers that I get a good number so that I can breathe my second sigh of relief! I decided not to test today to see if the line was getting darker but now I am sort of kicking myself as I sit here at work....

*******************************************UPDATED********************************************

Wow that was fast. I already got a call from my RE with the bloodwork results. My beta number was 55. Over 25 is pregnant, but they like to see over 100. The nurse did say that frozen transfers can implant later and if it implanted even a day after predicted that that would be a totally normal number. So I am trying not to freak out about this (my beta with Izzy was over 200). The other problem is my progesterone level is really low, so I will be starting another medicine, Prometrium, tonight to try to boost my levels. The nurse warned me that I could feel dizzy up to 12 hours after taking Prometrium so I should go to bed soon after taking the medicine. Not quite an ideal situation when CP leaves later this week for a work trip and I'm the only one home with Izzy.

I'm now trying to stay positive...a feeling I just had not 10 minutes ago....but now I'm worried.

Will they let you insert progesterone instead of swallowing, or is that what you are doing? Did they tell you the progesterone #?

I hope that your numbers double (most important thing)

I think your number is great, FETs notoriously have lower betas!

Focus on the positive and do your best not to worry or be anxious! As your blog motto says....If you focus on the negative and it doesn't happen, you've wasted your time.

Sorry I've been such a bad commenter - I've been reading along and thinking positive thoughts for you! Now hoping that the betas double!!

10 years ago there was a blogger called Chez Miscarriage. She asked that in lieu of congratulations, she says to whisper, Nothing Bad Has Happened Yet.

Nothing Bad has happened yet.

Good thoughts!

Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party on the positive pregnancy, but congratulations! Hoping the beta doubles appropriately, and I like what Journeywoman said above... *Nothing bad has happened* (I'm going to leave out the "yet").

I took prometrium vaginally for our DE cycle and had no problems with dizziness or any side effects really. I hope you get great news with that second beta. I know what it's like to worry when the line isn't as dark as you'd like.

I just wanted to say that my clinic (CCRM) is happy with anything over 50. My first beta was 75 and my daughter is just a bit younger than Izzy. I just had my second transfer on Friday!

Echoing all above. I know this isn't the number you were hoping for, but it's not the beta number but the doubling that counts. For now, things are good. Keep up with the progesterone and keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Woohoo! I've never had a beta, so numbers are all foreign to me. You're pregnant!!!! How very exciting! Can't wait to watch your journey this time around too.

Crossing my fingers the number goes up but it sounds like the number is different from Izzy since this embryo was frozen. I would totally let it mess with ym head though - it's tough to not compare one to the other. I hope you do OK on the progesterone medication with CP being gone. Hopefully the dizziness is minimal and doesn't impact you when you wake up in the morning. I'm so excited for you, CP and Izzy!!!
