I definitely have pregnancy hormones coursing through my body. I seem to cry at everything- short videos on Facebook, finding out the dog on Downton Abbey has cancer, etc. Thank goodness CP has been out of town the past few nights for work...I don't have to try to explain why I am crying to anyone (other than Buster). :-)

Today, my third beta came back at 249. In order to completely double it should have been 264 (CP gave me the wrong number on Weds- it was 132 not 135). My doctor's office doesn't seem worried so I won't be as well. My progesterone was up to 24 so that's good news as I am no longer at the minimum. My first ultrasound will be next Friday. My doctor wants to check out the placement of the embryo.

Two nights ago I made my first trip to the ER. Izzy's lips had turned blue and her cheeks purple twice in one night so after calling the doctor's office and being advised by the nurse to go to the ER, I packed Izzy up and drove on snowy, slick roads to the ER. Izzy spiked a fever while we were there and I learned that ER rooms are not for curious toddlers that want to play/touch with everything in the room. She was somewhat interested in the free movie that I found on the tv- The Nut Job- an animated movie with squirrels and a dog- and refused to sleep.

We ultimately spent almost four hours there without figuring out what happened or what was wrong. We finally got home and in our beds around 11:30. I realized that I didn't eat dinner so I ate a granola bar before going to sleep. In my follow up appointment the next day with Izzy's pediatrician she said that if it happens again, check her tongue. If her tongue is pink, she is fine. If it is discolored, take her to the ER.
Hoping that it will be a while before another ER visit!

There's a reason that beta HcG is abandoned once they can do ultrasound. The fluxuation is high. 249 is a good number. And I'm glad to see your progesterone is up. Keep taking good care of yourself and hang in there.
And so glad Izzy is okay (though what gives with them not knowing what was happening?!?!?). May this be the last ER visit ever.
So sorry to hear you had to go to the ER! must have been scary! good to know about the tongue though.
How does being pregnant the second time feel different than the first? Being pregnant with Paloma, I knew we would try again. If I get pregnant a second time I know a part of me will be sad that it very well may be the last time.

Glad your beta is rising well. The ER us never fun, sorry you had to go. Glad it was nothing serious.
eeek! Sounds like a scary visit to the ER! Glad everything seems to be ok...
and YAY for great betas!! =)
Glad things are progressing as they should. That first u/s always seemed to take FOREVER to arrive. Sounds like you are in a good place and not worrying about it! I always struggled with that. So sorry about your trip to the er. How frustrating to not really get any answers. Izzy's pj's are super cute! I also can't believe how long her hair has gotten!
ER visits are never fun. And that sounded scary! Glad all is well now.
Glad betas are going up! Ultrasound will be soon! Exciting!
How scary about the ER visit!!! I'm so glad everything is OK & glad to hear your beta is rising. Seems well within the good zone to me. Waiting for that first ultrasound is tough!
I have never heard of that happening before! Very scary. Glad to hear she is OK. I wonder what caused it? Glad to hear your third beta and progesterone came back at good numbers. I'd say the pregnancy hormones are a good sign, right? :)
How scary that her lips turned blue! Glad there doesn't appear to be anything wrong.
