Microblog Mondays: Pressure

This weekend at my sister's engagement party, her fiance turned to me and joked that because his sister and I will both be heavily pregnant by the time their wedding rolls around (Memorial Day Weekend), he is planning on making a lot of jokes referencing the fact that the pressure is off them to supply any grandbabies at the wedding. I laughed, but in my head I was thinking, oh boy is that going to be a rough wedding/reminder if things don't go well with this pregnancy and his sister is walking around with a huge pregnant belly and I am not.

Tomorrow I have my next appointment with my OB. Fingers crossed everything continues to go well.

Wow. I would have laughed and punched him. I get that he's trying to be cute, but that's a no-no.

Fingers crossed for an excellent appointment tomorrow. And my your future BIL's sister go into labor at the upcoming wedding.

Oh, no. Amazing how people don't think about the things you learn to fear through infertility. I hope tomorrow is a beautiful reassurance that all is going well.

I cringed at his comment. Crossing fingers for you too.

Your future brother in law sounds like a perfect match for your sister. What a lame thing for him to say.

Also, good luck today!

I hope the appointment went well today!!

We recently discovered that ALL FOUR of my best local girlfriends are pregnant. All of us. Concurrently. It's certainly put more pressure on keeping this nugget growing healthily. One of the girls' due dates is literally 3 days before mine. The thought of the three people I hang out with most, all having healthy babies over the coming months, if something happens to mine.... ugh. I have been letting my fetus know that is an unacceptable outcome. Hopefully the "while you're under my roof my rules apply" thing works for internal children as well.
