I got an early Christmas gift yesterday- I received notice from my boss that I got promoted! The promotion comes with a 20% raise- this is fantastic news as it should really help CP and I pay off bills. AND it means that this spring we will be getting the anniversary puppy that we put off getting this fall!! YAY!
In addition to my excitement over my promotion, I am actually excited about Christmas. Last year I was sad as it was the first time I wouldn't see my parents over the holiday in my 31 years. It just didn't feel like Christmas. This year though, my parents and sister arrive tomorrow and will be here until Tuesday. I can't wait to show them our house and town.
CP and I have planned a big meal for Christmas dinner (would you expect anything less?):
*Beef roast. CP has been dry aging it in our fridge for the past couple of days. It's from our beef CSA. :-)
*Lobster bisque
*Pear and goat cheese salad
*Squash puree
*Rolls
*Apple pie and homemade vanilla ice cream
What are you doing for the holidays? Do you have family coming in? Are you going somewhere?
