I didn't want to break my streak of posting our Thanksgiving menu, despite the fact that it is going to be a crazy day tomorrow. I will start cleaning tonight with hopes that the dogs don't leave too much fur around the house before the guests arrive tomorrow. This year I get out of doing any cooking, although I helped CP last night with one his dishes (and will probably help him again tonight).
My sister's boyfriend's family is still coming tomorrow, even though I am regretting telling my sister that it was okay. Oh well- too late now!! So we will have 10 people plus an infant tomorrow. Should be interesting!
Turkey*- CP will be smoking the turkey this year. We will see how it turns out!
Mashed potatoes
Stuffing
Butternut squash soup*
Wild rice salad*
Gravy*
Brussels sprouts
Vegetable tian- not sure what this is but I'm sure it's something my sister found on Pinterest and wanted to make
Salad
Bread
Pumpkin pie- you know, for the guest coming to our house that was too lazy to make it themselves or buy it on the way!!! ARGGGHHH!
Pear tart
*CP is making all of the starred items. The rest will be prepared by my mom and sister.
It's crazy. Last year we were in the middle of our dining room renovation and we spent Thanksgiving weekend at my parents house in MI. This year? Our house is fairly done in terms of renovation and I will be a mother in two short days. What a difference a year makes.
