Happy ICLW week!

Welcome to everyone that is here from ICLW this week.

My name is Non Sequitur Chica and I'm currently in the middle of the two week wait from IVF #1.  Last Saturday we had a 5 day transfer of a perfect embryo.  At the beginning of the week I was hopeful that I would be able to stick to topics OTHER than infertility/IVF/etc. but man is my brain making it hard.

I haven't felt any different than usual so my brain yesterday (and continuing into today) has me convinced that the transfer didn't work.  I know that this is crazy talk because at this point I wouldn't be feeling anything, but my crazy brain thinks that if the embryo did implant that something, anything would feel different.  Where was a sharp, stabbing pain that other women have felt when their embryo most likely implanted?

So instead of trying to stay positive, I'm thinking of what I'm going to do Tuesday night after I get the bad beta results from my clinic.  What bottle of wine I'm going to polish off by myself (thank goodness I work from home the next day).  What meal I will have that I wouldn't have been able to eat if I had gotten pregnant (at this point sushi is winning).  What kind of email I am going to write to the few people we have told about the transfer telling them that it didn't work and that I don't want to talk about it.

Then after Tuesday night and until we are able to get back on the horse again for a frozen transfer of the one frozen embryo we have, how I'm going to buckle down and really get to exercising again.  How I will once again be able to help CP paint and finish our bedroom so that we can move all of the furniture and begin sleeping in there again.  How I will be able to drink at the upcoming Widespread Panic show.  How I won't have to make up an excuse as to why I'm not drinking with friends next week.

*sigh*

This week is dragging on.  Can it just be Tuesday already?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you will have to be stone cold sober at the Widespread show.

Here from ICLW, best of luck for a successful cycle in the end!

Hoping that you'll get a positive beta. If you do then tell your friends you are on antibiotics so you can't drink because of the medicine.

I hate that long, agonising wait. Definitely too early to tell anything yet BUT you know we're all rooting for your embie! x

Stopping by from ICLW. I'm also in the misery of the 2ww, but only a day or two to go. I really hope all your fears and planning for your next cycle are in vain. My RE told me to chant the following mantra this week: I intend to become a new parent. And that embryo of yours is awfully beautiful, so I hope it stuck around!

Hang in there...just a couple more days to go. And if it makes any difference, the only symptom that I've ever gotten is cramping (which comes either way, right?).

Sending so many thoughts your way.

First time visitor from ICLW! The 2ww after IVF is the weirdest and hardest thing I have ever experienced. I have hoped I was pregnant before, but nothing like knowing that there was an embryo inside me that may or may not implant. I was like you, assessing every singe twinge from my belly button to my knees. Hang in there. I hope the bottle of wine has to stay undrunk for 9 months! Looking forward to following your journey and hope you visit me too!

The dreaded tww and all the thoughts that go through your head. Hoping that it is all worth it by next Tuesday and your beautiful perfect little one has snuggled in for the long haul!

Fingers crossed for you! If it helps, I didn't really feel anything either. In fact, I felt pretty much the same this cycle as I did during my 2 failed cycles. So, don't count yourself out yet. I really hope you don't have to open that bottle of wine :)

I did the EXACT same thing as you the morning I peed on a stick... tried to mentally prepare myself as best as I could for that single line and actually convince myself that it would be BETTER if I wasn't pregnant right now (for the stupidest reasons, like, who wants a crazy-ass Scorpio baby anyway?). Not really sure that it helps in the end, but I'm hoping you don't end up drinking wine and having sushi on Tuesday ;)

It's almost Tuesday! I never felt any kind of implantation pain, and only with my twins did I even have any hint of spotting. I didn't feel really different with any pregnancy until weeks later. There's still time! Good luck!!

Happy ICLW!
