On why my fiance is so cute

Most of you probably heard of the lovely storm we got here in New England Thursday night.... the one that produced ice all over the place and knocked out power to 500,000+ people in MA. Although many people in my area lost power, we were lucky enough to miss out on that fun. However, CP got the day off on Friday because his work didn't have power (of course MY work was fine). That gave him enough time to prepare for my birthday dinner......

I headed to the gym after work, willing myself to run a mile in under 10 minutes. And I did it....with 5 seconds to spare! After the rest of my workout, I arrived home, sweaty and tired, to CP. He had a fire roaring in the tv room, a bottle of wine set out on the kitchen table, and a big kiss for me. As I showered, he prepared the lobster and the steak (a surprise!).

Before dinner CP pushed three wrapped presents over to me. I was a little sad on my birthday when I didn't have anything to open* so CP bought me a few small things. One of the gifts? Kraft Macaroni & Cheese because I had been craving it for a few days. He is so silly.

The funniest thing of the night? His birthday card (see below). It totally made me crack up (and yes, I do realize that I am easily amused).

*My parents are waiting until we get to Chicago for Christmas to give me my birthday present(s?). CP hadn't really figured out my present just yet.....

**Koda= Fuzzy britches. FB is just one of her many nicknames.
