First a quick check on what is currently flowering and/or growing.

Alliums!! Don't they look like something out of Dr. Seuss book?
Please ignore the awful, old, and very sad siding. We are getting new siding installed in August and I can't wait (although our bank account may argue otherwise). |

| I had hoped that the Veronica plants would be a bit bigger this year, but they will grow in subsequent years. |

| The raised lettuce bed is going NUTS. CP has already picked some of the arugula and as you can see, we need to eat a bunch of salads this coming week and maybe look into thinning the bed out a bit. |
Unlike in CT, we decided that we didn't have enough time to finish off the yard with garden beds so we hired someone to do it for us.

| AFTER. Now there are two lines- the darkest grass is more sod to add to the lawn size. Instead of weeds, now it's mulch back there. |

| BEFORE. This is the front part of the back yard right after the patio stops. |
 |
| AFTER. It gets tons of sun throughout the day so in went a garden bed. Currently planted: hot peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, zucchini, radishes, and yellow squash. |

| BEFORE. Lots of weeds in the back of our yard. |

| AFTER. Two new garden beds with fencing because of RABBITS! Currently planted: kale, spinach, swiss chard, yellow wax beans, bok choy, mizuna, and carrots. Amazingly enough we planted the seeds last Saturday and we already have sprouts for everything but carrots! |
A few weeks ago, CP and I decided to clean out the garage. We have a nice big two-car garage that almost a year after moving into the house, looked similar to this:

Those aliums are awesome!
Did they level your yard out before adding the sod? In the before picture it looks like the "weeds" are on a hill, but in the after picture it looks pretty flat.
And I'm curious....how bad is the expense for sod? Hubby and I are discussing this for next summer (you've seen the pics of our backyard..haha).

Your garden is amazing! Especially the Dr. Seuss flowers ;) All of that green just makes me want to get out of the city even more.
Wow you guys have been busy! Everything looks great! You should see our garage. It's an embarrassment. Sigh....
